Emmerdale fans point out huge blunder in Caleb storyline as soap villain buys house

Emmerdale fans have pointed out a huge blunder in Caleb Miligan's storyline - as he was attacked yesterday.

The ITV soap villain was pushed off a cliff by an unknown assailant, as fan theories swirl on the identity of the mystery attacker. Caleb has many enemies after his plan to try and steal everything from Kim Tate was exposed and he was ousted by his family.

Penniless himself, he had planned to take all of Kim's money and even got his son Nicky in on the plan, convincing him to go along with it to help save his mum and Caleb's ex-wife from financial ruin and losing her house.

However, just as he tried to transfer the money from Kim's accounts, she revealed she was onto him, joined by Cain Dingle as his brother decided he didn't want him in his life anymore after all the deceit.

Yesterday, Caleb was pushed in shocking scenes - with his fate yet to be revealed - but fans were left puzzled by one element of the story, as Caleb revealed he had bought Mill Cottage, despite admitting to be broke.

One viewer mused: "Where did Caleb get the money to buy two flats? Thought he was skint," as a second took to Twitter: "Wtf Caleb was skint last week telling Nicky he needed money from Kim to survive now he’s bought Vinny's house??"

"How on earth can Caleb afford Mill Cottage? I thought he was only going to have money if his Kim scam went through. So Vinny just hands the keys over, this is c*** as usual," a third shared on social media.

A fourth added: "So where did Caleb suddenly get enough cash to buy a property when one if his reasons to scam Kim was to get money for his ex wife who was going to be evicted. Make it make sense."

"Have I missed an episode? How can Caleb buy both flats in mill cottage with no money. Also who can Chloe and Mack afford to rent when none of them work? Think I wanna move to the dales," a fifth added online.

Actor Will Ash - who plays Caleb - previously teased his character could die after the horror cliff attack.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, when asked how he feels about potentially leaving the show, he said: "He's a great character to play. There's so much going on with him, so much amazing backstory he can tap into that motivates all these storylines that he's had. The writers have really written brilliantly for it. I've had an amazing time."
