Fans of Emmerdale appreciated the miracle of soap land medical care tonight.
Jacob had been rushed to hospital in last night's episode after being stabbed by Callum. Tonight's visit to the village showed him unconscious in a hospital bed as David and Eric remained by his side.
His injuries seemed serious as he was yet to wake up. And things only got worse as he was rushed to surgery.

David pleaded with the doctors not to let him die as he asked: "What's going on? Where are they taking him?"
Eric explained: "Back to Theatre. He's got a abscess that needs draining."
A worried David said: "He's going to be alright? They said he's going to be alright" as Jacob was wheeled away.
But fans watching from home pointed out that his chances are good as just a little while ago David himself recovered fully from a gunshot in the gut. Just days later he was up and about, and they're expecting the same for Jacob.
On Twitter, Jamie said: "Jacob worse off with the stab wound than David was when he got a sawn-off shotgun point blank in the gut #Emmerdale". Another said: "Jacob will be jumping 5 bar gates by Monday especially since he's under the care of emmerlourdes hospital twinned with Bupa #Emmerdale."
Ray said: "Don't worry Jakey. David was blasted through the guts and he was kayaking two days later #emmerdale"
