Emmerdale fans wasted no time in calling out what they thought was blatant hypocrisy in the ITV soap's latest scenes. Tuesday night's trip to the Dales (May 16), saw Mackenzie Boyd continuing to face the fallout of his baby secret being exposed.
Viewers watched last week and Charity Dingle's world shattered as she saw Mack refer to himself as 'daddy' as he worried over his newborn son, Reuben, who has been seriously ill in hospital. Fans already knew that Mack had enjoyed a one-night stand with Chloe Harris last year during a tiff with his then-girlfriend Charity.
He then gave her the cold shoulder when she repeatedly tried to contact him before Chloe eventually dropped the bombshell that she was pregnant. Charity's granddaughter, Sarah, is one of the only other people to know about their secret, alongside Nate Robinson.

But less than two weeks after tying the knot, Charity discovered the truth about her husband's infidelity after they lose their own unborn child. After uncovering the truth at the hospital, she was later face-to-face with her husband. Mack tried to put down his recent behaviour to being anxious about becoming a husband.
But Charity refused to listen and asked: "Why were you at the hospital? Why were you sitting with Chloe's baby? Why did you tell him you were his daddy?" It was then that Mack finally confessed: "He's mine. I'm Reuben's dad," and Charity didn't utter a word and simply walked away.
Since being dumped by Charity, the news has spread to the rest of the Dingle clan and across the village. Mack has been staying with Moira and Cain, though he's fast outstaying his welcome in Cain's opinion who is all out to support Charity. Mack later left the house and was sitting outside the Woolpack when he was seen by Charity's son Noah, who told him to "just do one" and leave.
But after Noah went, Mack saw Chloe and baby Reuben and apologised for the fallout from Charity finding out their secret. He then decided to go on a walk with the mother of his first child and his baby son which soon lead to a heart-to-heart between him and Chloe.
Torn about his relationship with his son and the one he had with Charity, Mack was later seen heading into The Woolpack where he demanded to speak to Charity while facing the glare and disapproval of the Dingle clan. But he hit back and told them: "It's not like you've ever put a foot wrong, you're all a bunch of hypocrites."
And it appears Emmerdale viewers agree. @iamshariah said: "Honestly I think mckenzie has cheated the least out of all of them. It’s a shame the writers forget about hypocrisy." @thinkingofausernamesoon asked: "Haven’t almost all of them there had an affair or multiple at one point or another?!"
@rowseyyyyy12 fumed: "The lot of them think they are perfect charity has cheated before chas has cheated before cain has as well in fact he forgave moria for sleeping with his son so I don't get why they are all standing there acting like there perfect mackenzie is right they all are a bunch of hypocrites." @carolynsmalley added: "Omg , what a load of rubbish, each and everyone one of them has absolutely no right to critize, they all have done their worst."
