Emmerdale fans left fuming at ‘rubbish’ time change in major schedule shake up

Emmerdale viewers have been left fuming at the soap's time change in a major soap schedule shake-up.

The ITV soap is now going against BBC soap Eastenders with both airing weekdays at 7.30pm and Emmerdale having an hour long episode on Thursday.

Coronation Street has bagged itself the 8pm slot and will show hour long episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

During tonight's episode of Emmerdale, Mandy Dingle finally discovered that her son Vinny and Liv Flaherty are already married after Noah dropped the bomb.

Recently, Mandy was led to believe Vinny and Liv had got engaged so, with Mandy being Mandy, she set about planning a very extravagant wedding.

Things quickly turned awkward as Vinny and Liv couldn’t bring themselves to tell Mandy they had already tied the knot so they went along with imaginary wedding plans.

Noah got his hands on Vinny and Liv’s marriage certificate after a mix up with the post and after noticing the label said, ‘Mr and Mrs V Dingle’, Noah quickly realised what was inside and wasted no time rushing over to the salon to tell Mandy.

Heartbroken Mandy was devastated and confronted Vinny. Things got worse as she concluded that the reason Vinny didn’t tell her must be because he doesn’t see her as his real mum.

The drama didn’t stop there as it seems Meena is still up to no good as she is attempting to frame her sister Manpreet for Andrea’s death and it seems her plan could be working as Manpreet was taken to the police station for questioning.

Despite all the drama going on in the village viewers were left unimpressed at the soap's time change after ITV bosses recently announced a schedule shake-up.

As expected they wasted no time and went straight to social media to share their frustration.

@SueBK72 Tweeted: “I hate the time change for the soaps, it's a load of crap. Why try to fix something if it's not broken? #Emmerdale.”

@teenamassam said: “Not happy with the change in time schedules…#Emmerdale.”

@suzysasha commented: “#Emmerdale #corrie The time change is rubbish! Put it back!! Or put @bbceastenders on at 7pm.”

While @devereux1655 added: “This time change for the news and Emmerdale is messing with my head.”
