Emmerdale fans were left puzzled by Matty Barton's DNA blunder as he tried to set Suzy up in a drugs bust.
In tonight's episode of the ITV soap, Matty sought his revenge against Suzy for her part in his relative Holly Barton's death, and on finding some drugs belonging to Leyla's dealer, he stole the bag and planted it in Suzy's boot.
He then called the police and set to work at exposing her for having the huge amount of cocaine in her car, but fans were left confused by Matty's apparent blunder as he tried to get Suzy in trouble with the cops.
Puzzled fans took to social media, confused by the scenes - as they insisted Matty had made a big mistake.
"Haha OK matty number one you are right by the shop so cctv and also you've left your finger prints on the boot you moron can see this one backfiring! #emmerdale," one fan fumed.
A second added: "Ever heard of Fingerprints Matty? #Emmerdale," as a third shared: "Still no gloves Matty? The boy is an idiot."
"I hope Matty’s stupid plan to frame Susie backfires in his face big time #Emmerdale," a fourth added, with a fifth writing: "I wonder if Matty thought to wipe his prints of the bag and drugs inside? #Emmerdale."
Another frustrated fan penned: "Just how thick do @emmerdale think us viewers are?
"The bag Matty is going to obviously plant on Suzy, has HIS fingerprints on, Leyla’s most likely & the drug dealers, but Suzy WONT be as she doesn’t know about it!! So how can she get done for having it??!!"
However, Matty's plan was foiled - as whilst he did tip off the police, he ended up not getting his wish as Leyla had finally heard Suzy's voicemail message about the karaoke set she wanted to borrow from Leyla.
Whilst she took the bag of drugs back, and told the dealer that's where she found them, Suzy was later pulled over by the police as Matty watched on. However, he was left disappointed when the cops let her go and it was revealed there was only equipment in the boot rather than any illegal gear.
