Emmerdale fans hit back as Dingle war escalates between Charity and Chastity

It was another eventful night in the dales on Wednesday evening as viewers of the popular ITV soap, Emmerdale saw the ramping up of a bitter feud between cousins Charity and Chastity dingle.

As regular viewers will know, the pair look set to host rival events on the same night, as Charity along with partner Mackenzie and son Ryan reopen the legendary Woopack pub, following a fire started by villainous Al Chapman as part of the explosive Christmas and New Year storyline.

Having snubbed the offer of a job already, Chastity opted to take a managerial position at the neighbouring B&B, where she planned to host an engagement party for young couple Liv and Vinny.

Yet in a twist for the family, the fact the couple was already married has thrown the plans into chaos, with the celebration now having been transformed into a wedding reception, in a deliberate attempt to force family and friends to choose between a family event and the reopening of the village’s iconic pub.

In tonight’s scenes, B&B owner Eric Pollard was sneakily spotted sending away a delivery of food supplies for the pub’s grand opening, a mere day before the extravaganza was due to take place in a direct attempt to sabotage the reopening.

Heated words were also exchanged between both Charity and Chastity, with neither willing to back down from the exciting event due to take place tomorrow - with several teasers already having showed it’s going to be one to remember.

In light of tonight’s scenes, several fans have taken to twitter to air their thoughts on the feud as it continues to rattle on, with many fans tired of the bitter rivalry already.

“30 seconds in and Charity is already shouting!” said @Matt528chap.

While @laurenangelama1 chimed in with “Chas is so annoying.”

“Chas is so bitter she had the chance to be manger and blew it,” commented DionPetrie.

“Charity versus Chastity is as boringly predictable as Meena versus Manpreet” lamented @cumiskey55.

While @GavinEvs didn’t mince his words when he said: “Chas & Charity storyline makes me wanna vomit.”

The sentiment was also shared by @JamieNews81 who said: “When you can't stand both Charity and Chas, you don't root for either of them.”

Not everyone was upset by the storyline however, with one avid fan sharing her thoughts on the continuing feud. “I used to like Chas and dislike Charity, but now it's turned around,” explained, @DonnaCaroll49.

“Why can't Charity have some good luck over her family, Chas in particular. As for Eric, why has he let Chas take over HIS business.”

In fact, one of the most well received lines from tonight’s episode, came from Eric Pollard, who compared Charity to an “old house with a wide front entrance and a loose back door”.

It was this comment in particular, along with his sabotage efforts that had fans in stitches.

“Eric Pollard back to his devious way’s again. God I’ve missed them antics!” said @unsworth1live.
