Emmerdale viewers were taken back by the suddenly gloomy weather over the village.
Tonight's episode saw the residents journey to Hawksford Outdoor Pursuits (Hop) in order to take a look around the activity centre's new attractions. Nicola raised concerns that the local youths shouldn't be taking part in axe throwing but Gabbie reassured her there wouldn't be a problem regarding safety.
The residents all stood at the centre's doors in their thickest clothes with the air of their breath visible on screen. During the scene, the cast looked like they would much rather be inside which is no surprise given the drastic switch in weather.

As they continued to debate the safety of axe throwing, viewers were more concerned about the suddenly grey backdrop as the entire village found itself shrouded in a thick fog. Though no mention of it was aired during the show, Emmerdale fans couldn't stop talking about it online.
One viewer said: "Random fog seems to roll in and out like sea waves." Another added: "It looks bloody freezing!"
A third said: "Bloody hell, that looks cold." A final added: "Another scene that could have been filmed when it was very cold in the week before the #Christmas break as the fog has descended again!"
