Emmerdale fans have been left confused tonight as the credits came down on Emmerdale - just 30 minutes into its 90 minute epic triple bill.
Soap fans has been rejoicing with both Emmerdale and Corrie serving up extra drama. With the death of Queen Elizabeth II throwing the TV schedule off in recent days, Emmerdale is airing a third episode tonight in order to catch up episodes that had been due to air last week.
Coronation Street is also airing an hour-long episode, giving soap fans plenty to chat about. And fans have been taking to Twitter to share their excitement.

Some have said that this is just what they need after an "evil" week, while others are not sure how much "misery [they] can take". It is just as well that fans can get their soap fix in this evening, as there will be no soaps on Monday due to The Queen's funeral.
But Emmerdale fans have also been left feeling quite confused after the credits came down at 7.55pm, despite their being another hour of Emmerdale left, calling the move from ITV 'pointless'.

@runninoncaffeine said: "Why didn't just go on instead of ending it then putting it back on ffs #Emmerdale"
@Hassanhussain747 said: "When #Emmerdale decides to do 3 seperate episodes....#itv... wtf"
@pnejonno21: "Do go anywhere there's another two to go.......#Emmerdale"
@kylesew1221 said: "Why in the almighty f*** is there 3 #Emmerdale episodes"
@jordanphelps21: "Utter nonsense and we still have two episodes left"
The reason why Emmerdale showed the credits at the end of the first episode is because the first in tonight's triple bill was originally meant to be shown earlier in the week.
Normally Thursday carries an hour-long episode anyway, and ITV cancelled last Thursday's Emmerdale when the Queen died.
One half of the double bill was then shown a few days later, and then Emmerdale was one episode behind.
That episode was caught up between 7.30-8pm tonight and now the rest is Emmerdale's regular Thursday hour-long show, which is why it had credits at the end of the first episode.
Phew!
