Emmerdale fans 'can't watch' as Marlon Dingle makes devastating decision

Emotional scenes hit hard on tonight's Emmerdale leading to viewers saying they 'can't watch'.

Marlon was finally home after suffering a stroke a few weeks ago. However, it was not all smooth sailing as he was still struggling with his recovery. He was still having issues with his speech, struggling to get his words out.

His mobility also wasn't back yet as he was unable to feed himself. His daughter, April, tried to help him get a drink of water but ended up being frightened and shocked as he began to choke.

April was terrified believing he was having another stroke and called desperately for Rhona . Both April and Marlon were distraught and emotional as they both realised how much he was still struggling.

Later, Marlon managed to get his words out as he made a devastating decision. He told Rhona that he wanted to go back to hospital. He said: "Hospital... Go back... Better there."

Fans on Twitter were heartbroken at the scenes with some being unable to watch it. George said: "#Emmerdale Can't watch this Marlon business." Another user said: "April and Marlon are making me so sad ugh :( #emmerdale"

Michelle said: "Mark Charnock needs to win every award available for his portrayal of Marlon and his recovery from his stroke. Very difficult to watch and I can't imagine how difficult it was to film #Emmerdale" Samantha said: "As hard as it is to watch… this is what real true acting is! (Marlon)"

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
