Emmerdale fans have called for 'missing' scenes to be shown amid Frank Tate and Faith Dingle's newly unearthed fling.
The ITV soap has revealed a huge connection between the Dingles and the Tates, which will no doubt cause "fireworks" for the families. Caleb Miligan was revealed to be the child of Faith Dingle and Frank Tate, but as it was revealed, many fans of the show wondered how the pair could have met or what led to their brief fling.
We know Faith gave birth to Caleb whilst she was in prison, with some viewers now sure they've worked out the backstory which led the pair to sleep together and have a child with one another.
Fans are sure the soap hinted about the romance years ago, as one viewer mused: "Wait, did Faith somehow know about Kim casually leaving Frank to die? Would totally explain why she randomly pushed her over the balcony stairs at Home Farm & why she said something like "That's what all you Tates do" ain't it?"
Some viewers believe that Faith's comment to Kim when she pushed her off the balcony proved she knew that Kim had left Frank to die, but fans say there was never any hint of that other than the scene - and called for the 'missing' scene to be found or filmed as a flashback so we can find out exactly what happened between the pair after all.
Most though have been left puzzled by the brief fling - with one saying a scene of Faith talking about Frank would have solved it all.
"I’m not getting this story of Frank and Faith, I know Kim said he was known to have naughty times with the staff but Faith would of rubbed that into Kim’s face? #Caleb," one wrote.
A second added: "Faith and Frank Tate then. Wonder where they met?" whilst a third begged for a flashback scene to reveal what had happened between Faith and Frank all those years ago.
"Would love to see a flashback ep or merged footage!" one suggested, which other fans agreed would be a good idea.
"Emmerdale I am super curious to find out exactly HOW Faith Dingle & Frank Tate ended up together, and conceiving a child because wtf?! Did Faith keep a diary?! LoL," another shared on social media.
One questioned: "How did Caleb know about Frank, Faith must have told him been in contact, I am confused #Emmerdale."
