Emmerdale fans baffled over 'forgotten' scene as Meena murder evidence ignored

Emmerdale fans were on the edge of their seats watching the latest episode of the ITV soap, as Meena Jutla's reign of terror took a huge twist - but some viewers were confused about 'missing' evidence.

Meena is now predicted to be dead in a twist, after a showdown with Liam Cavanagh led to her being pushed off a bridge - in scenes that mirrored the murder of his daughter Leanna last year.

Her fate remains unknown, following her kidnapping Dawn Taylor and her husband Billy Fletcher, as well as her taking little Lucas.

Lives were on the line this week, as Meena brutally attacked Harriet before going on to shoot Liam's wife Leyla.

Now it's Meena who could lose her life, while the police may finally get their chance to take her down for her crimes.

Emmerdale viewers were very confused that three characters had seemingly not come forward about potential evidence against killer Meena Jutla (ITV)

She was exposed last month for having killed Leanna, as well as Andrea Tate, Ben Tucker and someone named Nadine.

Meena also attempted to murder Victoria Sugden, Princess the dog, Vinny Dingle and her own sister Manpreet Sharma.

Now, some viewers are questioning a 'forgotten' scene from last month as evidence against killer Meena remains undetected.

It was this evidence Meena was seemingly on her way to retrieve when Liam found her, before chasing her to the bridge.

Viewers know that Meena kept a box of trophies of her victims, containing belongings and articles about their deaths (ITV)

Viewers know that Meena kept a box of trophies of her victims, containing belongings and articles about their deaths - with some fans speculating it could lead to Liam being framed for Meena's crimes.

From Leanna's ring, to Princess' toy and Andrea's bracelet, there are a number of items she had taken from the scenes of her crimes that could prove she was behind them all.

Of course the police now know she is the killer, but they will no doubt be looking for hard evidence to get her sent down - if she survives that is.

But three residents, possibly four, know about this secret box and the items that are in it.

Noah Dingle definitely saw the box, and told Jacob Gallagher and girlfriend Chloe Harris about it having seen the contents.

He maybe even told cousin Samson Dingle about it, so there's a group of residents that seemingly know this evidence exist.

But fans were confused by the lack of conversations about the box, as it seems no one has brought it up since - and the police don't seem to be aware of it.

They certainly haven't found it at the allotment where she buried it last month, while perhaps they are aware of it but just haven't mentioned it.

The police or residents would have no reason to look there, while it was almost dug up recently.

Taking to Twitter, fans questioned why those aware of the box had seemingly yet to bring it up, as they were sure that they had not seen any scenes about it.

One fan wrote: "Do the Police actually even know about Meena's precious treasure box as yet? Or did Jacob, Noah & Chloe totally just keep it to themselves so far for whatever reason? Hopefully not, cos if found that would just be even more incriminating evidence against her right?"

Another said: "Has anyone found the first aid tin box yet?" whole a third fan wrote: "Nope they still haven't found it."

Some fans believed they did know about the box though, and that a twist was on the way.

One fan commented: "# Emmerdale prediction. Meena is caught, she goes to trial, she's about to get away with it, they find the trinket box, she goes down for life."

A second added: "New prediction. Meena will be about to get away with at at trial before Liam remembers she was at the allotment when he caught her. They'll dig it up, find the box, POS goes to prison for life."
