In tonight's Emmerdale, the show opened with the question on everyone’s minds following yesterday’s cliffhanger ending - ‘Where’s Manpreet?’
The village Doctor had come face to face with her sister, evil Meena Jutla as she entered her pleas in court regarding a raft of murders that had plagued the village.
Unable to cope with her sister’s cruel deeds and decision to plead not-guilty, the ending of Thursday’s episode of the ITV soap saw Manpreet Sharma wander off into the forest, having suffered a severe panic attack.

Picking up where that episode left off, a few residents raised concerns over the whereabouts of Manpreet, with her ex-partner vicar Charles expressing concern for her when she didn’t answer her phone.
Sending Priya Sharma out to search for her, the wedding planner boggled many fans' minds as she reportedly stumbled across the doctor’s abandoned car and phone - and shared the news with Charles, but without actually revealing any details of the location she’d found it at!
One Twitter user, @sofaneilas thought it was downright laughable as she tweeted “ “I found a car!” Oh great where? *hangs up* super legit. “
@Deew04 also agreed when she tweeted “Might have been an idea to tell him where the car is…."
However, in what proved to be one of the shortest searches in the soap’s history, Manpreet soon turned up again in the village with no explanation as to what had been going on in her mind at the time of her disappearance until she began to open up to her former husband Rishi Sharma.
Unimpressed by the development and the short-lived disappearance, many fans took to Twitter to criticise both the people who loved her failing to really search for her and many calling foul on what the point of such a lacklustre development had even been.
One fan, @Jacobwyn29 tweeted “I know Priya went put for a stroll to look for #Manpreet, but no one REALLY seemed to care that she was missing”
While @moore95_pamela said “Oh, panic over...Manpreet survived the wooded experience again...bet she was lying on the back seat & Priya neglected to see her”
“For a minute there, when she opened the car door, I thought it was gonna be like that episode of Grange Hill when they found Danny Kendall dead in Mr Bronson's car,” said @ToriaTowers.
@AVFCLil also shared their thoughts, tweeting “I love how people wander around the village at night in winter and never catch even a slight cold…”
@VampLover also weighed in on tonight’s development saying “Manpreet has obviously forgot where she parked and still thinks she’s married to Rishi"
Meanwhile, Teena Massam couldn’t help but be tickled by the sheer convenience of the writing. In a tweet she said “Well blow me, Rishi looks out of the window just as Manpreet strolls past…”
@fussyMcWhiskers also couldn’t get over just how little Priya had appeared to search for her former stepmother. She said “Priya to Rishi "I looked everywhere!! " Manpreet's in your garden!” “
