Emmerdale fans are currently wondering who got shot during the shotgun showdown between Al Chapman and Cain Dingle.
During tonight's episode, Cain found out about his sister's affair after going through her burner phone. Calling the number which had been texting Chas rendezvous dates and times, Cain discovered it had been Al all along.
Cain decided to take matters into his own hands and arranged a meeting with Al while pretending to be his sister. Cain lured an unsuspecting Al to a barn outside the village, where he waited, armed with a shotgun.

Al quickly realises Cain didn't really come with the intention of shooting him and gets cockier as their showdown progresses. The two men then decide to have it out by using their fists.
Towards the end of the scene, Cain managed to put Al in a headlock before the camera switches to an outside angle. Viewers then hear the shotgun going off but don't actually see who took a shell - if anyone.
While many Emmerdale viewers are hoping it was Al who got shot, the majority is convinced neither of them was hurt. On Twitter, they shared their thoughts and theories.
Shaun Barden stated: "Surely a character as iconic as Cain can't go out in a dreadful scene as that was, if so the soap is dead."
One fan wrote: "I reckon the gun went off but neither have been shot."
Another joked: "Probably shot a chicken that was on the loose."
Matthew Chapman said: "If it's anyone other than Al, then it's a total anti-climax as far as I'm concerned!"
Jehan tweeted: "I'm hoping the showdown between Cain and Al ends tomorrow with the snake getting killed!"
Bernice Tucker said: "I don’t think any of them got shot."
Others were also not too impressed with their fighting scene. One viewer commented: "Oh dear dear dear - Cain you disappointed me tonight."
And another said: "LOL! Al's 'punches' there!"
But some fans think that Al might actually die in this scene, as there are strong rumours that Al Chapman's actor is quitting the show.
