Emmerdale viewers were left frustrated by the latest episode of the ITV soap, as Amy Wyatt hit the rocks in her relationship with Matty Barton.
Meanwhile, Naomi Walters (Karene Peters) continued her romance with Alex Moore (Liam Boyle), despite coaxing from vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) to put his daughter off Alex.
During the latest episode, Naomi's brother Ethan (Emile John) tried to make his sister see sense, but once again, she didn't listen.
As they prepared for their big night out, Naomi asked Ethan to lend her some money.
And despite initially saying no, after asking him again, Ethan caved and gave her the £20 she asked for.
Naomi jumped on the softening of her brother as a chance to ask him to ‘rethink this whole Alex thing’, but Ethan again insisted their dad was only trying to save her from ‘another bad decision’.
Naomi fumed. "Get off my case, Ethan,” she replied before he fired back: “Alex reoffended as soon as he came out of prison and he tried to blackmail Dawn.”
"That's your version," Naomi teased as she proceeded to invite Alex on their night out.
Another storyline on Wednesday was Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and her rocky relationship with Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano).
Matty made the drastic decision to walk out on Amy, admitting he'd had enough and the episode concluded with Matty telling Amy he ‘needed space’ to think about their future as a couple.
Following the episode, fans became frustrated with Amy and Naomi, calling for them to be ‘written out’ of the soap.
Although, a double exit could potentially be on the cards, particularly if Amy and Matty break up for good.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote fumed: “P*** off Amy please....” as another wrote: “Naomi is horrible arrogant self-entitled freeloader. Get rid Emmerdale read the room!”
“Can Meena please come back for one night to get rid of Naomi? Just push her off the bridge or something and then back to prison,” another pleaded.
One wrote: “God Naomi has no redeeming features...smarmy, mardy, sarcy and miserable...write her out!”
“Colin and Naomi single handedly showing how many unlikeable characters there are in this show,” another added.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
