Emmerdale fans will be faced with more drama next week as one couple decide to end their relationship on the ITV soap.
Leyla Harding and Liam Cavanagh have gone through a lot in the past year but there are some things they can’t get past. Liam, who has struggled to cope over the past few months, has been grieving his daughter Leanna who was murdered by Meena Jutla, reports the Mirror.
Serial killer Jutla tried to ruin his life by making false claims and even putting in him danger afterwards. Following Leanna’s death, Leyla suffered a miscarriage before she was shot and almost met the same fate at the hands of Meena.

She sadly turned to drugs and became addicted to cocaine. Leyla suffered an overdose a few months ago but her second brush with death made her realise she needed help and she has been in rehab ever since.
Most recently, viewers have seen Liam making a pass at his ex Bernice Blackstock. He and his wife can't find a way to confide in each other.
But next week, the couple try to talk once more before they realise it’s the end of their marriage. They spend more time together but it turns awkward as they run out of things to speak about.
Liam then declares their relationship is defined by tragedy, grief, loss and lies to tearful Leyla. The couple both come to the devastating conclusion they’re no good for one other and end their relationship.
According to The Mirror, pictures show the moment they remove their wedding rings and place them on the table in front of them. Both of the characters are heartbroken that it’s come to this, but will they be able to find a way back?
