Emmerdale clip reveals awkward moment Chas and Al's affair is exposed by villager

Emmerdale airs the big reveal of a steamy affair next week, as one villager catches out Chas Dingle and Al Chapman.

Chas and Al will be caught out at a hotel after a raunchy encounter, and as they part ways they are spotted passionately kissing by Belle Dingle.

Belle wastes no time in confronting them, as shown in a new preview clip, as she catches them looking cosy for a second time.

As they joke how they are almost busted by Al's partner Kerry Wyatt, they soon realise it's no laughing matter.

Belle heads over to the pair and tells them exactly what she knows, leaving them mortified.

Al tells Chas he found one of her earrings in his car, and that Kerry was close to finding it. As he claims he would have been "busted" if she had spotted it, Belle reveals he is exactly that as she knows the truth.

Belle says: "Well you're busted now," to which Al responds: "What, for skiving off and having a chat?" It's then that Belle makes it clear she knows all about the affair, saying: "I saw you two leaving the hotel yesterday."

Chas will do what she can to try and convince Belle to stay quiet, but will her husband Paddy finally find out the truth? It seems the affair could continue, as the secret couple are set to feature in the big 50th scenes.

Executive Producer Jane Hudson revealed that Chas and Al are "featured heavily" in the big 50th anniversary month, while keeping details back. She said: "Chas and Al, I mean it's a storm. If you're gonna get it on you've got the storm for cover haven't you."

Actor Jeff Hordley, who plays Chas' brother and Al's enemy Cain Dingle, also teased his character's reaction to finding out the truth.

He said: " I think, you know, this is going to lead to something if he finds out. So I think there could be fireworks but not the kind you get in November."

Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out what happens, and if the truth comes out.
