Emmerdale favourite Emma Atkins has spoken about the soap’s big plans for their 50th anniversary.
Emma Atkins, 46, who plays Charity Dingle in Emmerdale, has given away a few details about what to expect for the milestone.
The soap has previously done a special live episode for their 40th anniversary. Something which Emma described as ‘terrifying’. Thankfully, for Emma and her colleagues a live episode looks unlikely for the 50th commemorations.

"I don't think we're doing a live but we're gonna do something probably bigger and better," she explained, while appearing on Good Morning Britain.
"What that will be I can't actually say because it's a big secret, but it's gonna be big."

Emmerdale’s 50th celebrations will culminate in October and producer Jane Hudson has previously told Digital Spy a little about what we can expect.
"There will be a new baby arriving in Emmerdale before the end of the year," Jane said.
"I think that's not giving anything away as there are so many female characters in the show, but there will be a new arrival before the year is out.
She added: "There's probably going to be a birth in the anniversary month perhaps! Babies in soaps are either born on programme celebrations or Christmas, so there's going to be one of those happening."
