Emmerdale breakdown for Aaron Dingle as Robert Sugden makes devastating decision

Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle raises fears he's having a breakdown next week, as spoilers confirm his sister Liv and sister-in-law Victoria realise how badly he is coping with recent events.

Aaron was devastated last week in the fallout to his husband Robert Sugden handing himself in to the police for killing rapist Lee.

Robert had not meant to kill Lee when he punched him, but after being charged for murder he was handed a 14-year prison sentence.

Next week, Aaron is struggling to carry on as normal without his husband, knowing he won't be out of prison any time soon.

His behaviour worries those closest to him as he heads for a breakdown, but things soon get worse.

Aaron becomes embroiled in a fight with Lee's grieving mother Wendy, only to be interrupted by an emotional Victoria.

She bursts into tears leaving them both shocked and apologetic, while pregnant Vic tries to talk some sense into Aaron.

Shortly after, his mum Chas Dingle arrives at the house and she brings some big news.

Chas reveals she's received a message from Robert from the prison, leaving Aaron filled with hope.

But it isn't long before Victoria is left worried when she finds out her brother has temporarily prohibited any visitors from seeing him.

Vic realises her sibling is preventing her and Aaron from ever seeing him again.

How will she cope as reality sinks in that she's lost her brother, and how will Aaron react to the news?

Ryan Hawley, who plays Robert, has left the ITV soap with it not entirely clear whether his final scenes have aired - while it's thought this could be the case.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
