Emmerdale 's executive producer Jane Hudson has teased huge scenes ahead on the ITV soap, as it marks 50 years on television.
The soap boss has reflected on the past five decades of the show, while teasing what is ahead in October - including "epic stunts".
With the soap marking its 50th birthday in that month, the soap will go all out with "gripping" storylines and scenes unfolding.
Jane has spilled that there will be a month of drama and celebrations to mark the big occasion, with a range of emotional, funny, and dramatic episodes on the way.
While few details have been confirmed, and spoilers are being kept a secret until closer to the time, Jane promised fans would be in for a treat.
Emmerdale has now released a photo of some of the cast posing outside The Woolpack pub, behind an incredible cake replica of the famous venue.
Speaking about the big milestone and what was ahead, Jane said: "Emmerdale celebrating 50 years is a huge achievement and to be the executive producer at such an exciting time is an honour.
"For five decades, Emmerdale has kept its audience entertained with incredible storylines and memorable characters.
"We want to make sure our 50th birthday month is a treat for all our loyal viewers and has them gripped to the edge of their seats as the stories unfold."
On what viewers can expect as the celebrations unfold, Jane promised mixed emotions and teased soap fans could see some of the most amazing stunts they've ever seen.
She said: "We are very proud to be a jewel in Yorkshire's crown and want to make sure we celebrate our wonderful village and everyone who lives there.
"Across the month you will see stories which have you in tears, make you laugh out loud and, of course, amaze you with some of the most epic stunts you will have ever seen.
