Emmerdale's Claire King has revealed some of the biggest behind-the-scenes secrets on the ITV soap.
The actress - who plays Kim Tate on the show - has given fans of the show a little insight into what happens backstage on the set of the programme, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary later this year.
Claire has appeared on the Dales on and off for 20 years and she has opened up about Emmerdale's fake village set, as well as boozy lunches she used to enjoy with the late actor Richard Thorp.
The actress re-joined the show back in 2018, after 19 years away from the soap.
Speaking about the fake village set, she confessed to OK! magazine: "It is actually a village, but it was purpose built for Emmerdale.
"It's all proper dry stone walling and even the chimneys have smoke that comes out of them, but it's all fake. We have the make-up rooms and the dressing rooms in the interiors."
She added: "You've got the outside of The Woolpack in the village and then the interior is in Leeds in the studio."
Claire also dished on the wine lunches she used to enjoy with her late co-star Richard, who played Alan Turner on the ITV soap - but insists it's "unheard" of now as they've moved to a specially built set.
"Richard Thorp and I used to, this was in the good old days, you wouldn't dream of doing it now with health and safety, we would be filming in Esholt [the real village where they filmed before], the pub was a real pub," she explained.
"We'd book our lunch and actually order a bottle of wine for lunch and then go back on set in the afternoon. Those were the days. It's unheard of now, but that's what we used to do."
Ahead of the 50th anniversary, show bosses have teased they have huge plans to mark it in October.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, the show's producers said: "We’ve been thinking about the 50th all the time.
"I think we probably held back some of our big ideas while Covid was so prominent in our lives because we didn’t know what we could achieve. But Super Soap Week has really shown us what we can do."
