Emmerdale and Coronation Street stars join Holly Willoughby in new ITV competition show

ITV has announced a host of familiar faces will be taking part in a new live competition show, The Games.

Trained by some of the UK's top coaches, the celebs will be worked on from the ground up as they attempt to reach peak physical condition for the games, with all of their progress being documented. Hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff, former professional footballers Alex Scott and Chris Kamara will also be joining the team as trackside reporter and commentator respectively.

The competitors include TV presenter Olivia Attwood, influencer and model Phoenix Brown, ex-Strictly pro and leading man, Kevin Clifton, pop star Max George, song writer Chelcee Grimes, Harry Potter actor Josh Herdman, author and model Christine McGuiness. Coronation Street actor Colson Smith, newsreader Lucrezia Millarini, musician and TV star Wes Nelson, Emmerdale actor Rebecca Sarker and actor Ryan Thomas will also be going head to head.

The celebs will continue to battle it out in an attempt to rack up as many medals as they can. As the leaderboard takes shape with each night, the series will culminate in an exhilarating final showdown in which one male champion and one female champion will be crowned.

Activities include athletics arena, the swimming pool, gymnasium, 100 metre sprint and diving. The Games is expected to air this Spring.
