Emmerdale aired the moment viewers had been waiting for on the ITV soap on Monday night, as killer Meena Jutla was sentenced to life in prison.
Her final scenes showed the villain weeping as she was finally punished for three of the murders she committed, and justice was gained for Ben Tucker, Leanna Cavanagh and Andrea Tate.
The judge sentenced her to 75 years at least in total, with her being told she would never be allowed out.
Meena wept as she was dragged away by a prison officer and taken to her cell, as she begged sister Manpreet Sharma to help her.
Stunned that she would not get away with her crimes as each sentence was revealed, she suddenly looked terrified as she realised there was no escape, and everyone had seen through her act.
As she was dragged away she begged the officer to let her go and claimed the judge had got her wrong, before her final scenes saw her sobbing on her bed, begging those in the prison not to ignore her.
As the sentencing began, Meena tried to halt proceedings as she realised no one was there to witness it.
After the drama of her trial last week, the loved ones of those killed decided to miss the hearing.
Meena wasn't impressed with her lack of audience, but was told to be quiet by the judge as he began his verdict.
Manpreet did eventually arrive in silence, and watched as her sister learned of her fate.
Meena watched on furiously as the judge told her: "Meena Jutla, you have been convicted by the jury of the murders of Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.
"Your intention was to kill and you were successful. You killed each of them in the most unexpected and frightful ways. We must now sentence you for those murders."
He went on: "Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker were blameless victims who simply had the misfortune to get in your way. A beloved daughter, a beloved mother and a beloved son needlessly killed by you.
"I've seen no genuine remorse from you, you are a manipulative person. You have told many lies and shifted the blame to try and save your own skin."
Calling her "malignant", he added: "As witnessed in this same court room where you held us hostage only days ago, in a desperate last attempt to feel important. You failed. You were eager to leave a legacy... it is to be forgotten."
Meena then learned her fate, and was horrified as justice was finally served - with Manpreet ignoring her cries as she walked out of the court relieved.
