Emmerdale viewers were "gutted" after a surprise twist in tonight's show.
Wednesday's episode of the long-running soap continued to explore who Mackenzie Boyd cheated on Charity Dingle with. Mack has been on edge since he had a one night stand with the mystery character.
He has attempted to ignore it ever happened as he swatted away accusations he had an affair. However, he was shaken on the latest programme when he received a call from the person who he had the one night stand with.

The person was later revealed to be Chloe Harris, who Mack angrily told to stay away. However, viewers following the show on Twitter were disappointed with the revelation as they hoped the mystery person would be Aaron Dingle, who returned to the show this week
Danielle said: "That was a let down #emmerdale was hoping it was Aaron!"
Daniel added: "BORING! It should’ve been Aaron."
Bebop commented : "Gutted it wasn't Aaron"
Dorren tweeted: "It should have been Robert and now Aaron is back that would have been amazing drama"

Danny Miller reprised his role as Aaron Dingle this week as the soap marks its landmark 50th birthday. The character will be joined by Diane Sugden and Tracy Metcalfe, who will all temporarily return to the show for a special month of celebrations.
