Emmerdale's special 50th anniversary episode has divided fans after many said they "expected more drama" as promised, however, others who deemed it "amazing" are sure there is more to come.
A special episode of the much loved ITV soap aired tonight, on Sunday (October 16), and the hugely anticipated episode promised chaos, a deadly storm and a whole heap of drama.
However, so far fans have been left less than impressed as they await the expected "chaos", so far viewers have seen Kim Tate rock up to her wedding on horse back and Amelia get trapped on the moors as the deadly winds began to pick up.

And while some enjoyed the slow burning drama others took to social media to slam the episode as "slow" and "boring" as they expressed their disappointment.
Fans were quick to criticise the episode as they say they were "expecting more", taking to Twitter to rant over the lack of drama fans of the soap were quick to criticise it.
One viewer penned: "Can the chaos happen now please #Emmerdale #Emmerdale50," a second added: "So far, this episode has been pretty *meh* #emmerdale," while a third said: "#Emmerdale ...and it's a flip to strictly." Another added: "I’ve seen better episodes midweek…disappointing."

While another said: "Well @emmerdale was rather underwhelming. I saw more dramatics in my GCSE drama class when one of the girls got her kickers shoe stuck in the rope for the stage curtain and fell off, landing on the piano *no serious injury btw."
However, many others praised the soap for a "classic" episode as they shared their excitement for the rest of the week and the drama that is brewing.
One social media user wrote: "Looking forward to rest of the week and storm but for an hour I felt only half to 20 minutes was really good #Emmerdale", a second added: "Blooming amazing was that. Big 50th anniversary and we get storm 2.0."
A third said: "We'll Emmerdale was amazing tonight cannot wait watch it through week", another added: "I don't know why everyone is so down on that. It was better than I expected. Seems these people still have expectations of that show."
