Emma Willis left husband Matt Willis wincing with a brutal swipe about his culinary skills during the Cooking with the Stars premiere.
Emma, 47, co-hosts the ITV show with comedian Tom Allen and, as the third series got underway on Tuesday, viewers got a sweet insight into the couple’s home life because the Busted singer, 40, was one of the contestants.
Emma and Matt, who have been married since 2008, made cheeky digs at each other during the duration of the episode, as the rocker tried to showcase his culinary skills while competing against Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon and Peter Andre.
Funnyman Tom chatted to Matt was he was cooking an Italian dish, and asked him who his and Emma’s three kids - Isabelle, 13, Ace, 11, and Trixie, seven - preferred in the kitchen.
“When you are at home cooking with the family, whose food do the kids prefer? Yours or Emma's?,“ he asked.
“Well, they eat more of mine…” Matt replied, prompting Emma to jokingly heckle him from across the studio.
“I am a bit more of a pushover than Emma, I just give them what they want. Emma's the bad cop,” he teased.
Determined to have the last say in their lighthearted squabble, the Big Brother host quipped: “I am, it's because I have four children, not three.”
Unfortunately, Matt was in the dreaded cook-off after the judges picked Samia’s dish, and after battling against Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter, the Year 3000 rocker was booted off the show.
Cooking with the Stars marks the second time the couple have worked together, after they took part in Matt’s powerful BBC One documentary, Fighting Addiction.
It chronicled his long-term issues with alcohol and drug addiction, and the subsequent effect it had on his marriage to Emma.
In one scene in the emotional programme, the Big Brother presenter recalled finding out Matt had relapsed in 2016.
Visibly emotional, she told the cameras: “You kind of kick yourself a bit, on reflection, because you're like: 'How the f**k didn't I see that?' All those key signs, I hadn't seen for so many years... all coming back.”
