Curella de Vil, Cruella de Vil, if she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will - at least in 2020.
Disney has announced its upcoming movie release dates including a lot of Marvel, Star Wars and Avatar (now it owns Fox) as well as Emma Stone's Cruella de Vil movie, which is set for release in December 2020.
The film is expected to have a 'punk rock' take on the well known dognapper's tale.
The live-action film will tell the story of the iconic 101 Dalmatians villain, but will focus on her younger days similar to the Maleficient origin movie.
Oscar winner Emma Stone will play the lead role, while Craig Gillespie (I,Tonya) will direct taking over from Alex Tombers who left the project.
The script has been passed through a few writers, including Dana Fox, Kelly Marcel and Steve Zissis, but seems to have now settled down with Jex Butterworth, he of Spectre, Black Mass and Edge of Tomorrow.

Disney has gives the film the Christmas season slot, which must mean it's feeling pretty good about the movie.
Cruella de Vil was created by Dodie Smith in The Hundred and One Dalmatians movel in 1956, she was then given the big screen treatment in 1961 in Disney's movie and voiced by Betty Lou Gerson.
Glenn Close has also played the villain in the 1996 101 Dalmatian film and its 2000 sequel 102 Dalmatians.
Cruella also cropped up in the ABC Once Upon A Time as a young character (Milli Wilkinson) and the adult version (Victoria Smurfit).
Apart from Stone no other cast have been confirmed yet.
Cruella is set for release on December 23, 2020.
