Emma Brooker was found unconscious after Dr Ali Neeson failed to detect that she had a ruptured appendix on Coronation Street.
Her dad Steve McDonald is now threatening to sue the Corrie GP for negligence after being told she could have died.
The Corrie favourite, played by Alexandra Mardell, collapsed in agony in her friend Maria Connor's flat after falling ill at work.
Dr Ali, who was called out by Maria, told Emma she probably had food poisoning after she confessed she'd eaten what seemed to be a dodgy kebab on a night out.

Maria's new boyfriend Gary Windass, played by Mikey North, was annoyed that the GP had failed to examine her to make sure it was nothing more serious, and he was proven right when he and Maria found her on the floor.
At the hospital Steve, played by Simon Gregson, asked a doctor if she should have been examined and he confirmed that she should.

"Symptoms can be missed but this is something you would normally rule out with an examination," said the doctor.
"I'm taking you to court and I'm suing you for everything you've got incase you nearly kill somebody else's kid," Steve raged at Dr Ali.
Emma had complained of a pain in her side and, taking Dr Ali's word that it was probably something she had eaten, she went to Maria's to sleep it off.

At the hospital, Steve was told needed an emergency operation.
Brooding Dr Ali, played by James Burrows, had been sulking that his ex Maria, played by Samia Longchambon, had a date with Gary when he was asked to see Emma.
Next week as Emma recovers in hospital Steve reports Dr Ali to his boss Dr Susan Gaddas.
Meanwhile Ali meets Maria in Victoria Gardens. He admits he shouldn’t have dumped her and is jealous of Gary.
