The Crown star Emma Corrin has been spotted filming new scenes as Princess Diana for the show's hotly anticipated season 4.
Corrin, who will play the Princess as she courts and marries Prince Charles, stepped out in Winchester to shoot scenes for Lord Mountbatten's funeral.
Winchester Cathedral is reportedly acting as a stand-in set for St Paul's Cathedral, where Princess Diana and Prince Charles' 1981 wedding was also held.
Corrin was cast as Diana after much speculation over who would play one of the most famous women to marry into the British Royal Family.
With few credits to her name - she appeared in Grantchester in 2018 - the role is set to explode the 23-year-old Cambridge graduate's profile.
The actress was previously photographed filming as Diana in Spain opposite her co-star Josh O'Connor, who plays Prince Charles - the pair were re-enacting Charles and Diana's 1983 tour of Australia.
“I have been glued to the show and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal” Corrin wrote on Instagram after her casting announcement.
