The Crown's Emma Corrin has shared what it was like to film a new adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover in Wales - naked. The 26-year-old, who came to prominence in her role as Diana, Princess of Wales, plays the titular character in the film, which was shot at Merthyr Mawr House and Estate in Bridgend last year.
And on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, November 6, the actor tells the host exactly what it was like shooting the new role. Emma said: “When I got the script, Laure (de Clermont-Tonnerre) our director was already attached and she is incredible, and there was a crazy scene where they both dance naked in the rain. For some reason I was like, ‘Yes, sign me up!”
Golden Globe-winning Emma added that the scene was "exhilarating" to film. “I think certainly that it was the most exhilarating thing I have ever done in my life. In film making it is pretend so it’s rare that you are actually in a situation where you are literally thinking and feeling exactly as your character would be. Being completely naked in the Welsh countryside meant you didn’t have to fake anything, you were just feeling it and it was quite amazing."

Asked if Emma's family had seen the film, the star said: “They all sat through it and all coped – weirdly I felt more sorry for my flatmates having to sit next to my family while they watched it. But, they are all still talking to me!” Lady Chatterley's Lover is set to hit Netflix in December and sees Skins' Jack O'Connell star opposite Emma as Oliver Mellows. Aside from being primarily filmed in Bridgend, scenes were also shot on location at Lake Vyrnwy, Powys.
Elsewhere on Friday's The Graham Norton Show, the Irish presenter welcomes Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Winston Duke and Michaela Coel; Normal People actor Paul Mescal; comedian and writer Richard Ayoade and musician Loyle Carner. Catch the interview on BBC One at 10.40pm on Friday, November 4.
