Emily Maitlis has announced she is leaving BBC Newsnight after 20 years to join the media group Global.
Alongside her co-host, Jon Sopel, Maitlis will front a new podcast for Global Player as well as host a radio show on LBC while providing commentary and analysis for the station's website.
Maitlis was previously the lead presenter on Newsnight while Sopel was formerly the North America editor.
