Emily Atack flirts on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch after opening up on 'hard time' after split

Emily Atack looked stunning as she appeared on the latest episode of Sunday Brunch after opening up about having a 'hard time' following her reported split. The comedian and actress joined hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer on the Channel 4 show on Sunday (October 23).

She was on what she described as her 'favourite' programme to be on with fellow guests Tom Daly, Sian Gibson, and Johnny Vegas. But there was a bit of chaos early into the show when chef Simon had chopped some avocado and thrown it into the machine, ready to be blended.

He faced some difficulties getting the kitchen appliance started forcing co-star Tim to suggest he ditch the tools and chop it by hand. Even Johnny Vegas attempted - and failed - to fix it before a member of the backstage crew, named Ben, stepped in. After successfully pulling the equipment apart and re-adjusting it, he managed to get it working and put Simon back on track with his dish.

And as the studio cheered, Inbetweeners star Emily, who looked gorgeous in an autumnal patterned dress with added neck-scarf and her blonde locks styled into soft waves, was quick to joke: "Can I have your phone number!"

Her quip comes after she took to Instagram on Saturday (October 22) and admitted she was having a "hard time" after her rumoured split from former reality star and tree surgeon Liam McGough last week. The 32-year-old shared how she turns to poetry during her down days.

In her post, she included The Orange by Wendy Cope, which ends with the sentence: "I love you. I'm glad I exist." Emily then shared a series of snaps including her enjoying a coffee, hugging a horse and a cute photo of her adorable dog lying on her bed close to a book of love poems.

She wrote: "Things have been hard lately. In more ways than one, for so many people. One thing I’ve found a great love for is poetry, and when facing some personal struggles of my own, I turn to them, and I remembered this poem today."

Emily went on to add: "One of my absolute favourites - The Orange by Wendy Cope. It reminds me to appreciate tiny moments of joy when they come my way. A day might be made up of a few, or just one or two. Try to look out for them, don’t miss them," before adding a red heart.

And fans were quick to respond. @covrogers said: "I REALLY loved this post. Simple pleasures eh? It's easy to forget sometimes." @shadfro wrote: "Wendy Cope seems to have a poem for most occasions. Glad that someone else has discovered her! Chin up." @paulspinall shared: "Lovley Emily. Thank you for posting." @nancy_charlotte added: "Lovely! Sending love Emily, hope you’re ok."
