Emily Atack 'dating' Big Brother's Liam McGough 15 years after Durham tree surgeon found TV fame

Emily Atack is reportedly dating County Durham-born Big Brother star Liam McGough, 15 years after the tree surgeon found TV fame on the famous reality show.

Former I'm A Celebrity finalist and comedian Emily, who has her own stand-up show on ITV2, is said to be 'keen' on seeing where things progress with Liam, after they were spotted enjoying a meal together at a plush London restaurant over the weekend. A source close to the ex Inbetweeners star told The Sun: "She doesn’t feel any need to apologise for being pictured out with a few men, but this time around things are going well and she’s happy to keep things as they are for a while and see if it progresses.”

News of Emily, who was linked to England footballer Jack Grealish earlier this year and Liam's blossoming romance comes well over a decade on from his appearance as a then 22-year-old on Big Brother, alongside iconic former housemates like that year's winner Brian Belo, twins Samanda and Chanelle Hayes. Lanchester lad Liam won £100,000 on the show, back when it was still on Channel 4, after a prize twist before the final.

And Liam, 37, has gone onto make plenty of money away from TV screens. Speaking to Chronicle Live in 2019, he said the novelty of earning 'easy money' for public appearances in night clubs quickly wore off and, since his Big Brother days he has worked hard on his craft, starting up business Liam McGough Tree Guy and helping to transform the roof garden at New York's world renowned Four Seasons Hotel and providing services for famous parks in London.

Talking about being on TV and where it led to, Liam said: "He said: "My tree work is the stuff I'm really proud of, it's my talent and I've had to work very hard to get to where I am.

"But the truth is I might not have had the confidence to move to London and set up this business and work with such high-profile talents if I hadn't done reality TV when I was younger."
