Emily Atack breaks down on ITV's This Morning as she worries her sexual harassment TV documentary could 'ruin lives'

TV star Emily Atack has opened up in an honest and raw BBC Two documentary where she discusses her experience of online sexual abuse. She became emotional talking about the documentary on the ITV1 morning show This Morning.

At the start of the interview on Tuesday, January 31, Emily admitted she was "shaking" and her heart was "beating" while talking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. While telling them about the abuse she receives from one man, who calls himself "daddy" and tells Emily he is sending the abuse while his wife and children are asleep, Emily began to cry.

Holly reached over and held Emily's hand while Emily continued. She said, while wiping away tears: "I'm terrified of exposing someone and then I've ruined their life." Emily claimed online social media companies like Instagram and TikTok had done very little to help her when she reported the abuse.

Later in the interview, Emily added she was "very tired" which is why she was "a bit teary today" while discussing the sensitive topic. Emily's documentary Asking For It? will air on BBC Two at 9pm on Tuesday, January 31.

In the deeply personal documentary, Emily opens up her life, and her social media DMs, to the public as she attempts to understand why she - and so many others - are sexually harassed online on a daily basis and what can be done to stop this.
