Welsh actress and singer Emilia Jones, who is the daughter of Welsh opera singer and TV presenter Aled Jones, was the second Welsh star to wow audiences at the BAFTAs.
The 19-year-old took to the stage to perform Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now, from her 2021 film Coda for which she has been nominated for Leading Actress.

Welsh legend Shirley Bassey opened the show to Diamonds Are Forever, which audiences loved and later Emilia performed.
She was joined by two translators signing the song in ASL, American Sign Language, and BSL, British Sign Language, as the film Coda is a coming-of-age film about a girl who has deaf parents.
