Emile Smith Rowe's reaction as he realises Olivier Giroud scored more than 100 goals for Arsenal

Emile Smith Rowe was shocked to hear that former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud scored over 100 goals for the club during his time in north London.

Giroud enjoyed a successful spell in England with both the Gunners and Chelsea. After winning three FA Cups in red and a fourth in blue, the Frenchman went onto triumph in Europe during his time at Stamford Bridge, with victory in both the Europa League and UEFA Champions League.

Although he's often remembered for being a scorer of great goals, he's never been considered to be a hugely prolific striker. 90 goals in 255 Premier League appearances isn't a bad return by any means, but considering the two clubs he played for, he probably could've notched a few more with the chances he had.

Perhaps that's why Smith Rowe was surprised to learn that the 34-year-old found the net more than 100 times (105) in all competitions during his six-year stay at the Emirates. In a quick-fire quiz with 433, teammates Aaron Ramsdale, Rob Holding and Gabriel Jesus, Brazil international Jesus was given five seconds to name three strikers who have scored more than 100 goals for the Gunners.

Thierry Henry and Ian Wright - Arsenal's two greatest ever goalscorers - were mentioned straight away but a final name alluded Jesus before Holding acknowledged that Giroud had in fact achieved that. In his shock, Smith Rowe replied: "Giroud, wow!"

The England youngster will be hoping to eclipse that goalscoring landmark himself one day, or at the very least, become the greatest midfield goalscorer in Arsenal's history by overtaking Aaron Ramsey's tally of 65.

Until then, though, he has to focus on recovering from a surgery on his groin - an injury that has almost guaranteed that he won't be travelling to Qatar for the World Cup this winter.
