Emile Smith Rowe's brilliant 11-word Instagram message to Ben White after Arsenal beat Wolves

Emile Smith Rowe has taken to social media to jokingly poke fun at Arsenal teammate Ben White following the 1-0 victory against Wolves.

Gunners centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes scored the only goal of the game, poking home from close range after Alexandre Lacazette beat Jose Sa to a corner in the 25th minute.

However, the north Londoners were made to work for all three points after Gabriel Martinelli received his marching orders in controversial fashion when referee Michael Oliver dished out two yellow cards for fouls in the same sequence of play.

Bruno Lage's men put pressure on Arsenal's defence but were unable to break down their resolute 5-3-1 deep block, with the aforementioned White putting in a defensive clinic to clinch his 11th clean sheet in 20 Premier League outings this season.

And after the full-time whistle, Smith Rowe commented on his compatriot's Instagram post joking about the former Brighton star's tradition of taking his shirt off and uploading the photos.

The Hale End academy graduate said: "Bro take that shirt off one more time I dare you," racking up almost 7,000 'likes' in the process.

The exchange sums up the mood in the Gunners' camp at the minute, with player morale appearing to be the highest it has been since Mikel Arteta was appointed head coach back in December 2019.

Arteta's side now sit fifth in the current league standings, one point behind West Ham United, who have played two more matches than their top-four rivals.

Arsenal are back in action next weekend when they host Brentford at the Emirates Stadium, hoping to avenge the 2-0 loss they sustained on the opening day of the season.
