Emile Smith Rowe may have dropped a hint that he will be starting Arsenal's Premier League clash against Leicester City on Sunday afternoon as the north Londoners continue their UEFA Champions League push.
Mikel Arteta's side have fallen to fifth in the table following Manchester United's 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.
However, the Gunners have played four fewer league matches than their rivals and could climb back up to fourth if they can defeat the Foxes, who they welcome to the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash, Smith Rowe has posted a picture of him in training alongside the large eyes emoji, perhaps hinting that he will start against the east Midlands club.
The Hale End academy graduate missed recent wins against Wolves and Watford after testing positive for Covid-19 but Arteta confirmed on Friday that the youngster would be available to face Brendan Rodgers' men.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Spaniard said: “Emile looks like he’s going to be available.
“He went through Covid, he’s feeling good now, he’s had a couple of training sessions.
“Hopefully, he can get the rhythm, the consistency and stay out of missing games because he’s a really important player for us and we need him.”
Smith Rowe has enjoyed an extremely productive campaign in an Arsenal shirt, netting 10 times across all competitions - more than any of his teammates have managed this term.
The 21-year-old's excellent form was awarded with an England call-up by Gareth Southgate back in November and he even scored on his first start, a 10-0 demolishing of San Marino.
