Emergency services have issued a warning after they were called to a Nottinghamshire house fire.
The house fire on Davies Avenue, Sutton-in-Ashfield, was reported to the fire service at 11.55pm on Thursday (February 3).
The small fire filled a bedroom and, after an investigation, fire crews found that the fire was caused by a phone and mobile phone charger.
Fire crews from the Ashfield, Mansfield and Alfreton fire stations were called to the scene.
But the fire was out on arrival.
One hose reel jet was used to damp down the fire to ensure it was safe.
No injuries were reported.
In a statement, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Can we take this opportunity to remind you to not charge your mobile phone, tablet, iPad etc under your pillow, on your bedding, under clothing etc, this can cause them to overheat and catch fire.
"Also only use original chargers, fake chargers can cause serious damage to your item and home.
"Don’t leave items on charge overnight while you are all asleep. Remember to check you have working smoke alarms on each level of your home."
