Emergency services have scrambled to a river bank in Midlothian after a woman fell down a six foot edge.
Police, first responders and the Scottish Fire and Rescue services rushed to Lothian Bridge in Dalkeith after a woman slipped down the river bank after trying to retrieve her pet dog.
Two fire appliances were in attendance to assist the woman after receiving a call at 1.30pm on Saturday February 4.

The Sun Inn restaurant which is located next to the bridge said they were told by a firefighter: "A woman walking her dog took a wrong turn and came to a very steep embankment her dog fell over a 6ft edge and she couldn’t retrieve the dog."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 1.30pm we received a call that a female had slipped down the bank at Lothian Bridge. She was assisted back up and there were no injuries. The Fire service left the scene at 2.30pm"
