Emergency services rush to Falkirk flats as fire breaks out

A fire has broken out within a block of flats in Falkirk.

Emergency services rushed to Victoria Road, near to Central Retail Park, after reports of a blaze shortly after 10:30am.

Two fire engines, along with cops and paramedics, were dispatched to the incident.

It's not known if anyone has been injured at this stage.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 10.36am on Thursday, February 17, to reports of a fire affecting a flat in a four-storey building in Victoria Road, Falkirk.

"Operations control immediately mobilised two fire engines to the location and firefighters extinguished the fire.

"Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
