EMERGENCY services rescued a family-of-three at Aberdeen beach as Storm Ashley sweeps across Scotland.
Police were called round 4pm on Sunday, October 20 to a report of a man, woman and young boy having difficulty in the water at Aberdeen Beach.
The Coastguard and Scottish Ambulance Service were also at the scene.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for Storm Ashley, with winds of up to 80mph expected to hit parts of Scotland.
Flood duty manager for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Catherine Evans, warned people to “take extra care if you are near the coast at any point and stay well clear of waves and water.”
All three people were safely removed from the water and have since been taken to hospital.
Sergeant Scott McKay said: "We are aware of a number of people who are still in the beach area and we would urge them to leave as soon as possible for safety reasons.
"The weather we are experiencing is creating unsafe conditions and I would ask that you follow our advice."
Weather warnings are in place across parts of the country until tomorrow morning.
