Emergency services raced to an upmarket hotel in Edinburgh on Saturday evening.
Police teams were called to the well known Orocco Pier Hotel in South Queensferry on Saturday as diners were being served in the main restaurant.
However, it later emerged that the call was a medical, not public order incident. A man was later taken to hospital by ambulance after suffering a suspected heart attack.
Chief Inspector Mark Rennie of Police Scotland said: "Police responded first to the call as they were the closest emergency service which can deploy defibrillators."

It was not clear whether the diner was treated with resuscitation equipment. A man was later seen walking onto an ambulance assisted by a paramedic.
The Orocco Hotel was chosen as the venue for David Cameron's announcement of the 2014 referendum on Scottish independence, and has also hosted IRA and unionist representatives for talks on the Northern Ireland peace process.
