Emergency services race to Edinburgh city centre as streets taped off

Emergency services are responding to an ongoing incident in Edinburgh city centre.

Crews including police officers are currently in attendance on Waterloo Place.

Images taken at the scene show two fire engines and police on motorbikes parked up near St Andrew's House.

It is understood parts of the area have also been taped off.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that the police presence in the area is due to a concern for a person call.

Road closures are in place as a result of the event.
