Emergency services have closed off a road in east Manchester after a 'minor explosion' in a building.
Police, paramedics and fire crews rushed to the scene on Cornwall Street in Openshaw this morning. Police said a gas leak 'gathered in the roof of a building'.
An industrial machine was turned on, so the gas caused a 'minor explosion'. No-one was injured or taken to hospital from the scene.

The properties in the area have not been affected, though a stretch of Cornwall Street remains cordoned off by police. It is currently shut between Lawton Street and Ashton Old Road.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Emergency services are currently responding to an incident on Cornwall Street, Manchester. Enquiries are ongoing but, at this early stage, it appears there was a gas leak which had gathered in the roof of a building and as an industrial machine was turned on there was a minor explosion.
"No one has been injured. No surrounding properties have been affected.
"There are currently road closures on Cornwall Street with no disruption to the wider area."
