Emergency services called as body found on Skegness beach

Emergency services were called to Skegness beach after a body was discovered in the water. Lincolnshire Police said it received a call from East Midlands Ambulance Service at 6.17am on Tuesday, June 28 to reports of a body in the water of the beach off Grand Parade.

Officers were spotted in front of Sealands Caravan Park, not far from Butlin's on Tuesday morning. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a call from EMAS (East Midlands Ambulance Service) at 6.17am on 28 June (Incident 50) with reports of a body in the water at the beach, Grand Parade, Skegness, Lincolnshire Live reports.

"The body is that of a deceased male. Investigations are ongoing to identify him."

It is not yet clear who initially discovered the body and raised the alarm with the emergency services. Police have launched an investigation into the death. Anyone with any information should call Lincolnshire Police on 101.
