One person has been taken to hospital after emergency services rushed to attend an incident in Bristol this afternoon.
A key route was blocked off to the public by several police and ambulance vehicles on Tuesday (July 12) to attend an incident on Sandy Park Road in Brislington. An air ambulance was also spotted landing nearby at Arnos Vale Park to assist at the scene.
The ambulance service has since confirmed that one person has been admitted to Bristol Royal Infirmary by a land ambulance.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 12:01hrs to an incident in Bristol. We sent an air ambulance, two double-crewed land ambulances and a rapid response vehicle and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Bristol Royal Infirmary.”
The road was cleared at around 1.40pm according to traffic reporting system, Inrix, and bus route 1 services were diverted away from Sandy Park to avoid the incident. It is not clear what the nature of the incident was.
