A large emergency service presence has been spotted in Killingworth amid reports that a man was spotted up a tree.
The emergency service crews - which included police, firefighters and ambulance personnel- descended on the scene on Greenhills estate in North Tyneside.
Residents told ChronicleLive that a man was 'spotted up a tree' and that emergency services had been at the scene since Monday afternoon.
An eyewitness said police had been speaking with a man who had been in a tree in woodland off Greenhills.
Footage taken by our photographer at the scene shows an Incident Response Unit vehicle, a fire engine and ambulance vehicle all present at the scene.
Light can also be seen in the distance where it is understood the ongoing incident is taking place.
Emergency service remain at the scene at 7.45pm, including multiple police vehicles.
ChronicleLive has contacted Northumbria Police, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and North East Ambulance Service for comment, however, they did not provide any further information.
