'Embarrassing' - Leeds United supporters left worried following heavy Liverpool defeat

Leeds United have conceded more Premier League goals than any other club after losing 6-1 against Liverpool at Elland Road.

The Whites followed their dismal 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Crystal Palace by leaking another six goals against Jurgen Klopp's men.

Javi Gracia's charges have now leaked 11 goals in their past two games, and sit just two points above the relegation zone.

Cody Gakpo's opener was shrouded in controversy after Trent Alexander-Arnold handled the ball in the build-up. VAR chose to stick with the on-field decision as Alexander-Arnold surged into the penalty area to tee up Gakpo at the back post.

Mohamed Salah doubled their advantage before the break by applying an unerring finish to a clinical counter-attacking move. Leeds reduced the deficit after Luis Sinisterra pickpocketed Konate, and dinked his finish over Alisson.

Diogo Jota restored Liverpool's two-goal lead with his first goal in over a year, before Mohamed Salah bagged his brace. Jota also hit a double with a zipping low volley which found the back of the net via the post, and Darwin Nunez emerged from the bench to add a sixth at the death.

Here is how Leeds supporters have been reacting to another catastrophic defeat on social media...

@SJU14 That's our respectable goal difference gone in these two games now.

@CharlieBurley_ Embarrassing. Disgraceful. Relegation fodder at best. This has been going on for over 18 months now. Orta's recruitment experiment is failing miserably. We are going down.

@jimmy_L_UFC Give the fans their money back for the last two games.

@LB130 Every single player and the Manager should come out and apologise to the hard working Leeds fans who have suffered the last 2 games, that was truly disgraceful, I wanted a reaction after the Palace game not a capitulation.

@ToastedJonas Conceded 6 without even trying to score or press. Shocking tactics. Shocking performance. This is so much worse than it ever was under Marsch or Bielsa. Damn.

@MikeGBerry Absolutely disgraceful, such poor investments for far too long - need to change things for the next season!! Too late for this year and the inevitable.

@bungholio81 How many of the Leeds players will be on the phone tonight to their agents asking who's interested. This team is pretty much done.

@andrewpets1 Won't be able to rely on goal difference either with Man City away still to come! Will be double figures that one!

@ianhds09 Most goals conceded by any team in league this season..... Great form going into last 7 games

@nevillebartos12 11 goals conceded in two home games. It’s why I think we unfortunately will go down. Very much hope I’m wrong.
