Music legend Elton John was spotted kicking off his official retirement hopping on a yacht with his family for a beautiful cruise on the Mediterranean Sea.
The first day of their vacation in the South of France saw Elton enjoying a well-deserved summer vacation with his family, including husband David Furnish and their two sons Zachary and Elijah after officially completing his farewell tour.
Elton was seen wearing casual, comfy outfit sporting a red, white, and blue checkered button-down paired with knee-length white basketball shorts and his signature tiny circular shades. The 76-year-old was being assisted onto the yacht just after making the announcement he will be saying goodbye to music after over 50 years in the industry during his final show.
The British musician announced his Farewell Yellow Brick Road show was going to be his last, and his second night performing at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden officially brought the tour to a close. At the end of the concert, John thanked his fans for their continued support and says that he's still trying to process that it is over.
In a recent post, Elton posted a group photo of his enormous crew, that spanned two photos long. In the caption he thanked everyone that tirelessly worked on the tour and saying they were the 'backbone' to every show and he cannot even begin to express his gratitude. He says that every show on tour was an unforgettable experience and the last five years are memories he will never forget.
Since his retirement, fans have flooded his comments with love and support, sharing the incredible influence the singer's music has made on their lives.

Elton upon entering retirement also announced that Disney Plus has just released a two hour long special of his final concert at Dodger Stadium. The singer shares that the final North America performance was a bittersweet evening that he will always remember. He said that he is honoured to be featured in the special and thanks everyone in production for creating the magical production for his fans to enjoy for years to come.
