Music legend Elton John officially kicked off his last ever tour back in 2018, but unfortunately, many dates have been cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions.
But, luckily fans got another shot at seeing the Rocket Man singer perform after tickets went on sale last December for his Yellow Brick Road farewell tour, kicking off this June.
Sir Elton John will be performing 51 shows in total spanning across the UK, Ireland and Scotland from 15 June 2022 until 29 March 2023 - however, many dates have already sold out, including the much anticipated BST Hyde Park event on Friday 24 June.
Limited tickets for the 2022/2023 tour are still available to buy from Ticketmaster now, with prices ranging from £49 up to a whopping £1,199.
For those who managed to secure the golden tickets, you’ll be delighted to hear that Elton and BST Hyde Park have officially announced the lineup of artists joining the Rocket Man in one of London’s best venues - and it’s seriously impressive!
The emerging artists playing have been personally selected by Elton himself and include Rina Sawayama, Gabriels, Let’s Eat Grandma, Berwyn, Thomas Headon, Tom A Smith and Juanita Euka.
BRIT Award nominee Rina Sawayama rose to fame following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album SAWAYAMA in 2020. She and Elton collaborated last year with the stunning duet ‘Chosen Family’, and she’s since collaborated with Charli XCX on her hit single ‘Beg For You.’
With their 2021 release ‘Love And Hate In A Different Time’ hailed by Elton as “one of the most seminal records I’ve heard in the past 10 years”, Los Angeles soul trio Gabriels performance on 24 June certainly isn’t one to be missed.
